Vegetarian Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 package Vegetarian Ground Beef
  • 2 cups Tomato Sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cloves Garlic (chopped)
  • 1/2 Onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 Red Pepper (chopped)
  • 1/2 Yellow Pepper (chopped)
  • 1 Bouillon cube
  • 1 tbsp Tamari Sauce
  • 1 can Black Beans (Organic, if you can)
  • 2 tbsp Woodstock BBQ sauce (or your favorite)

Seasonings:

  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Dill
  • Pinch of Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Spike All Purpose Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Trader Joe’s 21 Seasoning Salute
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • Salt to taste

Directions

Saute onions, garlic and bouillon cube on a medium-low heat. Add veggie ground beef and Tamari sauce into the pan and cook until softened (approx. 10 minutes). Add chopped peppers and tomatoes, BBQ sauce and cook for 8 – 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add tomato sauce, seasonings, black beans and water, stir and cook on a medium – high heat until the chili bubbles (approx.10 minutes). Reduce heat and simmer for 3 – 5 minutes. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped scallions and serve with your favorite bread.
